About Us | History

The founding of Digamma Omicron Chi started with two sisters who sought the help of their (then) family members, who were the founder, co-founder, and members of the IMVU community's Nu Psi Upsilon.  They searched high and low for an organization that suited their values, beliefs and personalities. The two sisters saw that there was a void that needed to be filled within the online IMVU Greek world. And try to fill it they did!

On September 1, 2018, Omicron Psi was founded as IMVU's Omega Phi Alpha.  Omega Phi Alpha was founded to be a haven for the members of the IMVU Greek community and those who seek knowledge of the community (male and female).  In 2022, Omicron Psi transformed to become what we now know as Digamma Omicron Chi and branched out into other online communities.

The Revamp

As Omega Phi Alpha first year came to an end, the founders and co-founder of Digamma Omicron Chi decided to look back on their past year to see where improvement could be made. They decided that the name Omega Phi Alpha needed to change due to similarities to an existing academic/local organization. 

Established on September 1st, 2019, the revamped Omicron Psi was re-introduced to IMVU Greek society, via founders Soigne and Diaphanous. Within this online community, our sisterhood was a pioneer in leadership and guidance on the platform. During this time, FOX and its' members participated in community council, mentorship programs as well as regular hosts to in-game events.

The Blossom

In early July 2022, Omicron Psi began to develop a plan to take what was a single-game organization and expand our reach and haven to reflect not just our pixel personnel, but our human forms as well. With this new chapter of sisterhood, Digamma Omicron Chi was designated as our final rebrand and we established a stand-alone community, to help our gaming (and other online community) interests work in harmony, as one. 

September 1st, 2022 is our first Founder's Day where we celebrate our sisterhood as it stands up on its' own entity for the first time.

The Ascension

Digamma Omicron Chi embraced a new chapter in 2025 by officially becoming a non-profit organization. This transition coincided with the implementation of defined titles and official roles for every sorority member, fostering a sense of individual contribution and shared responsibility. These significant updates are expected to further strengthen the bonds within Digamma Omicron Chi, creating a more unified and purpose-driven sisterhood.
